As part of its continued commitment to empowering youth through skill-based education, St Thomas College, Kozhencherry has initiated the Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning.
Students receive NSDC-certified add-on courses in areas such as Python Programming, MS Office, Disaster Management, Mushroom Cultivation, Food Science and Quality Control, Phytochemical Techniques, Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis, and Ornamental Fish Culture.
Students have moved beyond learning and started exploring their own entrepreneurial ventures.
To ensure the Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education and Gender Equality, the college conducts week-long skill enhancement programmes based on Global Employability Test assessments.
In collaboration with the Women’s Cell, IEDC, NSS, and Placement Cell, the Centre organizes practical training programmes including placement training, tailoring, beekeeping, beautician courses, and driving classes.
