The PG & Research Department of Physics, St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, observed World Environment Day 2026 on 5 June 2026 with the theme "Inspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future." The programme aimed to create awareness about environmental conservation and encourage sustainable practices among students and staff. The celebration focused on the importance of protecting biodiversity, conserving natural resources, and addressing the challenges of climate change. Students were encouraged to participate in activities promoting environmental responsibility, including planting native tree species, reducing plastic pollution, and conserving water resources.
