The Department, in association with Poyanil Hospital Kozhencherry and Believers Hospital Thiruvalla organized a Workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) on 19 January 2026 with the objective of equipping students with fundamental life-saving skills and emergency response techniques. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of timely intervention during medical emergencies and to provide practical training in handling critical situations effectively. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Feby Mathew and Dr. Amulya James, both experienced Emergency Medicine Residents from Belive. The resource persons shared their clinical expertise and emphasized the significance of immediate and appropriate action in saving lives during emergencies such as cardiac arrest, choking, respiratory distress, trauma, and unconsciousness. The workshop included hands-on practical training sessions in which students actively participated under the supervision of the trainers.
